Even though it’s a small place and they offer limited variety, the majority of the food they serve is of great taste, and it’s highly recommended. You can go to this place from Sitapaila and it’s suggested to go there by checking Google maps. The roads are small and it might be difficult for you to reach there with bigger-sized cars as only one vehicle passes at a time.

Monkey Temple Restro & Bar
This place was closed for renovation sometime back so many people think that it’s still constructed but now it has come back better with a beautiful ambiance. You can see Swoyambhu without any disturbance in between and the view at the night is amazing. Vehicles passing at ring road make the view even better. Be careful about the parking as they have very difficult parking so it’s better to park on a lower section. The menu price is a little bit more expensive than usual in other restaurants but the view and the ambiance justify the price.
This restaurant is located opposite to the monkey temple hill from where you can enjoy the mesmerizing view of Kathmandu. Whenever you are hanging out with our closed ones around the famous Swoyambunath Stupa, visiting this restaurant for the lunch can make your experience enhanced due to amazing view people can see from the restaurant.

You can see a similar view as of the Monkey temple. You will see the beautiful Swoyambhu view from there along with the bird-eye view of Kathmandu valley. The place is relatively more affordable than other restaurants despite being in a beautiful location. It’s a small place yet value for money place.

It is not only a restaurant, rather its a resort where you can stay overnight. It’s located almost at the top of Bhaktapur city. You will have to go towards Ganesthan temple from Suryabinayak chowk and then ask locals about the Ghyampe dada. You have good roads till Ghyampe dada and then the offroad begins. With an almost 2 KM offroad drive, you will reach the destination and the beauty of this place is the view.
Food is average and expensive so I wouldn’t go there for the food. My sole reason to visit there would be to see the beautiful view of Bhaktapur city and the best part is the weather goes foggy during evening time making it chilly. The best thing would be to sit there with a great cup of Americano and enjoy the stunning view. They have an open area, photoshoot booths, and swimming places along with proper rooms for a night stay. Parking is also available in the place itself.

Lemon Grass Resort
This place offers yet another view of Kathmandu valley and is a bit far from the city. You will have to go towards Dakshinkali and after around 2-3 KM ahead of Taudaha, you will have to take a right turn to reach the place. Offroad bikes will reach this destination and other cars and bikes have to be parked below and then walk for around 8-10 mins to reach the destination.
The place is located at the edge of the hill and it will scare you if you have a phobia of the height. You can take the balcony seat and then explore the whole valley. Cool breeze time and again will add beauty to it. Usually, this place is crowded on the weekend so please try to go there during weekdays so that you will get proper space to stay. After eating there, you can walk uphill for another 10 mins and reach the top from where you can see another side of the city and the jungle. Food and pricing are average and affordable.
